The Pomegranate's Kiss: Introduction to Traditional Witchcraft

This lecture is a winding tour through the contemporary movement known as traditional witchcraft or the "Old Craft". The two hour journey along the Crooked Path will explore authentic Witch phenomena including its practices, beliefs, and the sorcerous worldview within the major initiatory Houses, and give participants an introduction to the counterculture embodied therein. Here we may steep our souls in its embrace and be invited under the Hollow Hills of the Fair Folk to quaff the holy draught of poetic intoxication.

Participants may expect to gain both an understanding of traditional witchcraft as it is practiced within various threads, clans, and sundry iterations today, and a deepening into the knowledge of historical witchcraft from trial records of the early modern period (15th-18th C.), inspired myth, and cunning folklore.

Troll Huldren (they/them) is an Initiate of the Faery Tradition, a uniquely queer American witchcraft House propagated by the late Victor and Cora Anderson. They are current Magister of Shining Serpents Coven. They live on a queer farm commune in north central Appalachia with five humans, three dogs, three cats, and much fare and fowl.
